About This Seva
Every summer, Punya Nidhana Trust sets up Dhoopkaal Chhaya Kendras at strategic public locations to protect the vulnerable — daily-wage workers, the elderly, and travellers — from extreme heat, offering shade, seating, and cool drinking water.
Purpose
To protect vulnerable citizens from heatstroke and exhaustion during extreme summer conditions.
Services Provided
Shaded rest areas at public locations
Cool drinking water and ORS availability
Seating for elderly and labourers
Basic first-aid for heat-related discomfort
